A rag burnt to a ceramic stove is an unpleasant situation, but easily fixable. You can remove carbon deposits using improvised means or special ones purchased at the store. The main thing is to start fixing the problem immediately.
Special scraper
Burnt rags can be removed with a special scraper. It is sold in departments where ceramic hobs themselves are sold. For this you will need:
- turn on the dirty burner to minimum mode;
- carefully remove melted tissue residues with a tool;
- Turn off the heat and wash the surface with soapy water.
If you cannot completely remove the melted rag, you need to turn on the burner at full power and let the residue burn out. At the same time, with quick movements, when the temperature has reached its maximum, remove dirt with a wet sponge. In this case, you need to turn on the hood or open the windows.
Alternatives to a special scraper
Not all housewives have special tools at hand for cleaning ceramic hobs. A possible alternative is to use a blade, putty knife or machine scraper to prepare the car for painting.
Blade
In the case of a blade, the burners cannot be turned on, as your hands will touch the surface.It is necessary to cut off the remnants of the melted fabric as carefully as possible, avoiding damage to the working surface.
You cannot use a regular machine, as it cannot be used at a certain angle. In this case, the machine covers a large area, leaving small cuts in which dirt will subsequently accumulate.
Putty knife
It will take longer to remove stuck carbon deposits from a rag with a regular spatula, but the effect is guaranteed. In this case, the stove needs to be warmed up a little to make the residue easier to remove.
Car scraper
The most convenient way to use a machine scraper. It is cheaper than the original tool and is just as effective. You can start working either on a cold or slightly heated surface.
Any method of removing a burnt rag may leave minor damage. Therefore, the working panel must be polished with special paste-like products.
If you have simple tools at hand, you can remove any dirt from a ceramic hob, even something as complex as a burnt rag. And daily care of the delicate surface will not only preserve the external shine, but will also extend the service life of the slab.
