Gifts are the main attribute of the New Year; not only children, but also adults expect them. But it’s important not only to buy sweets, a towel, a hairdryer or a watch, but also to pack them in an original way so that the unpacking process turns into a real New Year’s miracle.
Parcel from Santa Claus
For children, a gift is not as important as the miracle itself - its appearance under the tree. To pack a gift in an original way, you can take a regular box made of chipboard, wood or cardboard and decorate it as a parcel. Depending on the material from which the box is made, “Sender” and “Recipient” and Happy New Year greetings are burned or drawn on the parcel with paints or a marker. Also, a post office stamp is applied from sealing wax or plasticine and a New Year's postage stamp is glued. A child will remember such a gift from Santa Claus for a long time, even if the package contains just sweets and tangerines.
Paper animals
This design does not require great artistic skills or special tools. All you need to do is take plain wrapping paper, markers, colored cardboard, scissors and glue. The color of the packaging must match the color of the selected animal.
To make packaging in the shape of a bull, take white paper and wrap the gift in it in the standard way to make a rectangle. We fold the side edges into triangles and glue them together. From colored cardboard we cut out 2 triangles that will serve as the ears of the bull and a rectangle for the nose.Using felt-tip pens, we draw eyes, a tail and spots on the “back of the bull,” and glue on the ears and nose.
Package with embroidery
Even those who have never held a needle in their hands can handle embroidery on a paper bag. You will need a plain paper bag, embroidery and wool threads, a needle and a pencil. On the bag you need to draw a festive design: a snowflake, a Christmas tree, a New Year's toy or a New Year's symbol and make holes with a needle every 0.8-1 cm along the contour of the design. We insert the thread into the needle and thread it through the holes on the front and back sides. Such a homemade package does not require much time and expense to produce, but no one else will have such packaging.
Box from a sleeve
The sleeve packaging box is suitable for a small gift. It’s easy to make: fold the round sleeve as shown in Figure 2 and straighten it back. We press a piece of cardboard from the sides so that we get semicircular flaps on both sides. The original shaped box is ready. You can decorate the sleeve packaging by wrapping it with colored ribbons, lace or fabric. You can also decorate it with gouache or paste it over with colored paper.
The price of the gift and its packaging is not at all important, the main thing is that it is given and chosen with love and pure thoughts.
