The curtain in the bathroom comes into contact with water, with foam, and fogs up. All this affects her appearance. Yellow spots appear, the curtain itself becomes cloudy. In order not to buy a new one, you can start restoring and cleaning the old one. There are several ways to do this.

Machine washable
The easiest way is machine wash. If there is no manufacturer's prohibition on the curtain, then it can be put into the machine. Before doing this, turn off the spin and dry mode. The water temperature should not be higher than 40 degrees. It would be good to add several items of the same color or similar to the wash so that friction occurs and the curtain is washed as much as possible. If the curtain goes into the wash along with the rings, then it is placed in a bag or pillowcase. After washing, it is recommended to soak the curtain in salt water for 15-20 minutes. This will provide it with a kind of protective layer.
Lemon soda solution
You can refresh the curtain with soda and citric acid. Pour 2 parts baking soda and 1 citric acid into a bowl of warm water. Soak the curtain in this mixture. After 30-40 minutes, lightly wash it with your hands and rinse in clean water. If the curtain is heavily soiled and has yellow rust stains or mold stains on it, then it is recommended to add a few drops of white when soaking. After washing, do not wring out, but hang up so that it is even.
Ammonia for heavy stains
It happens that there is severe contamination in only one place of the curtain, usually it is a rusty coating. To defeat it, prepare a solution of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. 3 parts of ammonia and 1 part of hydrogen peroxide are mixed and applied to the stain with a sponge. Rub in a little and after 10-15 minutes wash the curtain with your hands in slightly soapy water. Then rinse and hang.
Vinegar against mold
If there is constant dampness in the bathroom, which occurs due to improper ventilation of the room, then fungus and mold are frequent guests of the curtains. To get rid of such contaminants, you will need a brush, baking soda and vinegar. Use a brush to scrub away as much fungus and mold as possible from the curtains. Then the solution is prepared. Warm water is poured into a basin and 100 ml of vinegar is added. Then soda is added and the curtain is placed in this solution. Soaking time in the solution is from 10 to 15 minutes. After the time has expired, rinse the curtain thoroughly in cold water.
To combat mold, you can use Domestos. It is poured onto the areas affected by mold, left for a few minutes and the curtain is thoroughly rinsed.
Do not use too hot water for any wash. High temperatures can ruin not only the design of the curtain, but also the material from which it is made. It is not recommended to iron curtains from bathrooms, so after washing the curtain is hung on a flat surface without wrinkles, and after the water has drained, it is hung in its place. If all washing rules are followed, curtains can last up to several years. Whereas improper care reduces its use time to several months.
Buy a new curtain and don’t have to suffer. What kind of idiocy!
