Increasing preference is given to environmentally friendly vegetables grown without the use of mineral fertilizers and chemical means of protection against pests and diseases.

What prevents you from growing cucumbers yourself without using so-called “chemistry”?
Let's talk about feeding. They are carried out several times per season, the effectiveness directly depends on the skill of execution. The presented recipes are available to any summer resident; they are budget-friendly, effective, and not difficult to prepare and use.
Things to remember:
- To obtain high yields, fertilizing must be systematic, since as the plants grow, they remove nutrients from the soil;
- Root feeding is carried out either directly under the root, or in a furrow drawn along the row.
Herbal
Herbal is the most affordable and budget-friendly, completely safe. The peculiarity of this infusion is that it allows you to quickly provide the culture with all trace elements. Saturates with nitrogen necessary directly during the growth period. Any green mass without seeds is suitable for use.
The prepared container is filled one third with vegetative mass and topped up with water. It is placed in a warm place for fermentation, after which the infusion is ready for use. The consumption rate for 10 liters of water is 1 liter of working fluid. Apply weekly.
Onion peel
Onion peel - a universal infusion used as fertilizer and protection against pests. For root feeding and for spraying leaf surfaces. Due to the high content of minerals and vitamins, it increases resistance to temperature changes and disease outbreaks. It has a stimulating (immunostimulant) effect on the growth of the plant as a whole.
The infusion for feeding cucumbers is prepared over several days. Onion peels are poured with warm water and infused for 2–3 days. Apply only after watering.
For spraying, the infusion is prepared from 2 cups of onion peels poured with a glass of boiling water. Leave for up to three days. Strain, dilute one to two.
Egg shell
Eggshells are an additional source of calcium and trace elements. To prepare the infusion, the shells, previously washed and dried, are crushed. Pour 0.5 tbsp into a glass jar (3 liters). l. powder and pour boiling water. Cover with a lid and leave for several days until the solution becomes cloudy. The finished working solution consists of 1 part of concentrate and 3 parts of water.
Chicken droppings
Chicken manure ranks first among organic fertilizers in terms of the amount of useful substances it contains. The simplest option is to prepare an infusion from it to feed cucumbers. It should be filled with water and left for several days. The required concentration of the resulting solution is determined by color. It should be light, with a slight hint of weak tea leaves. A darker solution can burn the root system; it is diluted to the required shade.
Fresh chicken manure is soaked - filled with water and drained. This procedure significantly reduces the high concentration of uric acid.
Fermented droppings give good results. To do this, fresh or dry is filled with water and left to ferment for several days. The concentrate is diluted 1:20 and can be stored in a closed container for some time.
Raw yeast
Raw yeast - contains microelements necessary to increase growth vigor and improve fruiting, by activating the growth of the root system. The infusion consists of a pack of yeast, 5 liters of warm water and a glass of sugar. The fermented solution is applied directly to the soil. An alternative to yeast is using crackers, in which case the fermentation takes longer. This feeding is carried out up to three times throughout the season.
What infusions to prepare for feeding cucumbers and whether to use them are decided by the gardener himself.
