Gardeners know that to get a good harvest of cucumbers, it is necessary not only to carry out proper agrotechnical care, but also to take care of the timely application of fertilizers. Most often, summer residents use folk remedies, since they are accessible and do not allow cucumbers to accumulate nitrates. In the first place in the ranking of popular supplements are yeast-based formulations.

The effect of yeast on cucumbers

Table yeast consists of living microorganisms and fungi that have a positive effect on the condition of vegetables. Despite the fact that their pathogenic varieties can cause many diseases, dry or pressed table yeast acts in the opposite way and helps plants bear fruit well. This happens due to the fact that microorganisms contained in large quantities absorb organic components of the soil and contribute to the formation of:

  • microelements such as phosphorus, iron, potassium, etc.;
  • vitamins;
  • amino acids;
  • enzymes.

Assimilated by cucumbers, these substances stimulate the development of the root system, leaves, stems, and fruit formation.
