Traditional methods for cleaning pots from burning, scale and grease

How to clean a pan from burning, scale and grease is of interest to many housewives. After all, sometimes it becomes incredibly difficult to do this. Of course, you can clean dishes using expensive detergents, but you don’t always have the money for it, or if you have a child, then using such strong chemicals is dangerous to your health! Therefore, folk remedies are used, the choice of which depends on the material of the container.

Universal means

Who would have thought that to clean a pan made of any material you can use things that we come across almost every day:

  • Salt. Is your pan burnt? Do detergents not help or do you have to wash them a hundred times? Then use salt. Fill the pan with water until it completely covers the burn, add 3 tablespoons of salt, mix thoroughly, heat the solution and leave to soak for a day.
  • Soda. To clean pans with baking soda, you need to fill the container with water, add three tablespoons of soda, boil over low heat and leave to soak for a couple of hours. After all the manipulations, wash with a regular sponge.
  • Salt + Soda. The combination of these two components will help get rid of scale, grease and burning. To do this, pour water into the pan and add two tablespoons of soda and salt directly. Afterwards you need to boil the mixture for 20-30 minutes.
  • Activated carbon. If a thick layer of soot or fat has formed on the pan, then activated carbon will help you in the best possible way.To do this, grind several tablets, sprinkle evenly on all contaminated areas, and leave to infuse for twenty minutes. Then pour boiling water over it and after 15 minutes clean it with a sponge. The fat should come off easily.

It is very convenient to cook in an enamel pan, but food in it burns very, very quickly. Considering the fact that enamel is very sensitive to the external environment (temperature, etc.), you need to carefully choose cleaning methods so that you don’t have to waste money later.

  • PVA glue + Soda. Who would have thought that ordinary office glue could have such a wonderful effect?! To clean, we need to take a container larger than our dirty pan, fill it with water and add half a pack of soda and 1 tablespoon of glue. Boil, not forgetting to stir. Place the container in the resulting solution and cook for another 10-15 minutes. After which all scale and soot can be easily removed with a simple sponge.
  • Detergent + water. In the case when the pan needs to be cleaned of a small amount of burnt fat, just fill the container with this solution, heat it up, and leave for half an hour.
  • Citric acid or vinegar. Many have probably heard about the miraculous effect of citric acid and vinegar on scale. Fill a dirty pan with a solution of vinegar or citric acid (1 spoon of the substance for every 4 liters of water), stir and leave for 2-3 hours. To achieve a faster effect, you can put the solution on medium heat and wait until the scale begins to fall off. After which it is very easy to remove the residue with a sponge and detergent.

“Whiteness” as the best remedy for enamel pots

Returning to enamel pots, it is worth mentioning strong chemicals.means such as “Whiteness”. When washing a container with this product, it is important not to allow sudden temperature changes, because this can cause the surface of the enamel container to crack, and, unfortunately, it is not possible to restore such defects.

“Whiteness” refers to detergents that are hazardous to human health, so when using it, do not neglect the rules indicated above. It is worth using if the situation is too advanced and none of the folk remedies have helped you.

To wash, fill the bottom with cold water and add two tablespoons of “Whiteness” and leave for a day. Then drain the solution and fill the container halfway and boil. Then we drain it again and perform the same operation two or three more times. Finally, wash under running water.
