The well-known Coca-Cola can act not only as a soft drink, but also be an excellent helper in the country. This is a rather controversial drink: many people like its original and sweet taste, but there are also many opponents of this soda, since it has virtually no beneficial properties for humans.
Coca-Cola has been used for domestic purposes for quite a long time, but experienced gardeners told how this drink can increase productivity, as well as rid plants of various kinds of pests and diseases.
Fighting aphids
Most gardeners do not realize that Coca-Cola has insecticidal properties. Due to the high sugar content, Coca-Cola glues aphids to the leaves and trunks of plants, which prevents their further life activity and also blocks the destructive effects of the acid they secrete.
To get the product, you need to take 2 liters of soda and 7 liters of water. First you need to shake the soda to get rid of the carbon dioxide, then combine it with water. The resulting composition should be sprayed on fruit and berry crops. The effect of this product will appear after the first procedure. The liquid should be poured into a spray bottle, shaken, then thoroughly sprayed on the leaves and stems of the plants. The procedure should be repeated every 10 days from the moment of planting until harvest.
Anti-rust
If rust appears on garden tools, rags and various appliances, it can be removed with Coca-Cola. Items need to be soaked in soda, then cleaned with a sponge or brush.
Against slugs and snails
If plants are constantly under attack by slugs and snails, you can use Coca-Cola to combat them. To do this, dig shallow holes and place containers of soda there. The mollusks will smell the sweet aroma, climb into the containers and will not be able to crawl out, and the acid present in Coca-Cola will be fatal to them. The owner of the site will only have to get rid of the dead pests and build new traps.
As a compost accelerator
Coca-Cola will help speed up the process of recycling waste in compost pits. To do this, you need to water each layer of organic residue with soda, every 10 days, remembering to stir the compost and add a little water. In just 1.5-2 months it will be ready for use, while under normal conditions the compost will not be ready until the next season.
For processing garden crops
Coca-Cola can be used to prepare an excellent composition for feeding garden crops.Taking three tablespoons of the drink and mixing them with 10 liters of water, you need to water the trees and shrubs in the area. You should not make too strong a concentration of fertilizing to prevent excessive acidification of the soil.
From the Colorado potato beetle
The ubiquitous Colorado potato beetle may be resistant even to pesticides, but it is Coca-Cola that can help in the fight against beetles and their larvae that attack potatoes, tomatoes and some other plants. You need to take 2 liters of soda and 5 liters of water, mix and spray the resulting mixture on the affected crops. The very next day after such a procedure, the beetles will become uncomfortable and will leave the plants. The big advantage of using such a product is that it can be used even during harvesting, because Coca-Cola is not a chemical, which cannot be said about pesticides.
Coca-Cola is unlikely to benefit human health, but in everyday life and in the garden it can be a truly effective and useful remedy.
