Experienced gardeners know that good compost is the key to healthy seedlings and a rich harvest. And it is easy to make it from old tops, leaves or even paper.
In the garden
Making compost in the garden is a simple and quick way. After harvesting, the soil is dug up or loosened. The stems of harvested crops, unsuitable fruits, and fallen leaves are laid out one by one. The height of the compost should not be more than 30 cm. For quick decomposition, the layers are watered with a special agent or covered with dark film. Once a month, the fertilizer is loosened.
It is not recommended to use diseased or rotten fruits, tops of nightshade crops and weeds for composting in the garden bed.
