For a rich harvest of crispy cucumbers and fleshy red tomatoes, proper care is required, consisting of watering, protection from pests and proper feeding. When using natural growth stimulants, tomatoes and cucumbers develop faster, release color and set fruit more actively.
Yeast stimulator
Baker's yeast is one of the simplest and most effective fertilizers for the garden. The composition of the yeast mass includes Saccharomycetes fungi. Substances activate the process of decomposition of organic compounds, nourish soil microflora, and also protect plants from pests and diseases. The supplement contains carbohydrates, proteins, microelements and B vitamins.
Upon contact with water, yeast forms compounds that stimulate the development of the plant’s root system and the supply of vitamins for development and recovery. “Live” fertilizer is completely harmless to humans and plants; it can be applied at any stage of growing garden crops.
You should not overdo it with yeast, as over time they deplete the soil, “pulling” potassium from the soil and increasing the amount of nitrogen. To stabilize the situation, it can be neutralized with wood ash.
Components:
- 2 liters of heated water;
- 30 g dry powder yeast;
- ½ cup sugar or any old jam.
Preparation of a stimulant using yeast:
- Pour warm water into a large 3-liter jar, add express yeast powder and add jam or granulated sugar.
- Mix the ingredients in the jar, put the container in a warm place for 3 days for active fermentation.
- Strain the tincture, dilute a glass with 10 liters of clean water and feed an adult plant under the root after watering.
- For young seedlings, it is better to use a solution with a reduced concentration: for 10 liters - 60 ml of yeast tincture.
It is better to stimulate plants 3 times a season: 12–14 days after transplanting seedlings into open ground, after the bushes take root and immediately at the beginning of flowering.
Mullein
Organic mass from fermented cow manure contains a large amount of potassium and nitrogen and other compounds that stimulate growth and active fruit ovary. Tomatoes and cucumbers are crops that require potassium and nitrogen. The fertilizing contains 75% water of the total volume, which guarantees a high level of soil moisture when fertilizing.
Mullein in its pure form can cause yellowing of the leaves, so the mass can be diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 20. Fertilizing is first carried out 10 days after moving the seedlings into open ground. The second time the manipulation is carried out 14 days after the first treatment. The third feeding with mullein should be carried out at the moment of fruiting.
Before applying fertilizer, water the plant bushes with water at room temperature, and add 1 liter of mullein diluted with water under the roots. Immediately after this, water the plants again.
Chicken droppings
Chicken manure is an equivalent replacement for industrially produced complex mineral fertilizers. The manure contains a large amount of phosphorus and nitrogen, and also contains manganese, sulfur, cobalt, zinc and iron.
To prepare a stimulating composition based on chicken manure, it is necessary to collect the manure from the chickens and place it in an unnecessary container. Pour fresh organic matter with water in a ratio of 1 to 20 and leave in a sunny place for 4-5 days, periodically stirring with a stick. During this time, the solution will ferment, it should be filtered.
Add the prepared solution of chicken manure 0.5 liters under each bush after evening watering. It is better to add the stimulant at the beginning of the growing season, during flowering and during the period of active fruiting. You can also scatter dried chicken manure into the soil during digging at an average rate of 0.5 kg per 1 sq. m.
Active growth and abundant fruiting of tomatoes and cucumbers depends on the quality of the soil, the watering regime and the system of competent feeding. Natural growth stimulants saturate plants with vitamins and minerals, ensure the penetration of nutrients to the root and increase the yield of each bush.
