Preparing for the New Year is a troublesome task. There is so much to do that you will definitely forget something. This often happens with a Christmas tree stand. What to do if you bought a green beauty, but forgot about the fasteners for it. Or, as luck would have it, the old stand disappeared somewhere. Don't rush to the store. You can do it yourself. This will take a little time, but it will help you out for many more years.

Cross made of planks
This option is suitable for small trees, one to one and a half meters in height. Larger trees risk falling under their own weight on such a stand.
To make it you will need:
- 2 long planks (60x15x3 cm);
- 2 square planks (15x15x3 cm).
- self-tapping screws;
- tape measure or ruler;
- screwdriver
Measure 22.5 cm on long boards on both sides and connect them along the marking lines, placing one on top of the other. Fasten the resulting cross with self-tapping screws. Attach square pieces along the edges of the top board. Then drill or cut a hole in the middle equal to the diameter of the spruce trunk. A small tree can be attached to the stand with a long screw (100-120 mm).
From a cut tree
If you have a small stump on your farm, you can quickly make an original stand for the Christmas tree from it. First you need to level the cut so that it is level with the floor. Otherwise, the structure may fall, tilting to the side. Then drill a hole in the center of the stump for the trunk of the holiday tree. The stand is ready.All that remains is to decorate it with varnish or shiny paint, and then decorate it with artificial snow from a spray can.
Made from polypropylene pipes
This option is suitable for those who still have PVC pipes after repairs. With some ingenuity, they can quickly and easily transform into a convenient Christmas tree stand.
To make it you will need:
- polypropylene pipe (120 cm);
- crosspiece for connection;
- 5 plugs without thread;
- self-tapping screws or cold welding;
- screwdriver;
- dye.
First, use a jigsaw to cut the pipe into 4 equal parts. Connect them with a cross and put plugs on the protruding ends. Install another plug in the center, with the hole facing up. Now screw it to the crosspiece with self-tapping screws or glue it with cold welding. If the tree is tall, insert another piece of pipe into the top cap. All that remains is to paint the resulting stand.
From a plastic bottle
Do not rush to throw away drinking water bottles. These would make a great Christmas tree stand. Simply cut the container and insert the top into the bottom. Make a cylinder from a small bottle or shampoo bottle and place it in the neck. It will hold the trunk of the spruce. This design is very light, so for stability you need to pour water into it before installing the tree.
From buckets and bottles
Another simple way that will help you secure a Christmas tree in a matter of minutes when you don’t have the necessary materials and tools at hand. You will need a bucket and plastic bottles filled with water. Place them in a circle, leaving space in the center for the tree trunk.To make the structure heavier and not fall under the weight of the green beauty, you can also pour water into the bucket. Decorate it all with fabric or a bright box.
As you can see, making a stand for a Christmas tree is not difficult. And materials for it can be found in any home, the main thing is to show a little imagination.
