After 10-15 washes, snow-white linen takes on a gray tint. Housewives resort to store-bought bleaches, which can irreparably damage the fabric. Homemade chemical-free products will be an excellent replacement.

ochsoda
The easiest way to whiten bed linens and kitchen towels is to soak them in a baking soda solution. Pour 200 g of soda into 4 liters of warm water. Things are placed in the solution overnight and then rinsed thoroughly.
A composition of:
- 90 g soda;
- 60 g grated laundry soap;
- 5 drops of lavender oil.
All ingredients are poured into a liter of cold water and brought to a boil. Then soak the laundry in it for 3-4 hours. Items are washed by hand or in a machine and rinsed thoroughly.
If you want to soften the fabric, add a little citric acid to the water, and a small amount of salt to preserve the color. When washing cotton items, add hydrogen peroxide, no more than 15 g, to the water.
Aspirin
Aspirin works great for stains on clothes. 5 tablets are diluted in a liter of water and the laundry is placed in the solution. An hour later it is sent to the washing machine.
On a note! To make the tablets dissolve faster, you can first grind them into powder.
If there are old stains on clothes, they are left in the solution for a day.
Vegetable oil
No matter how strange it may seem at first glance, vegetable oil can remove coffee, wine and tea stains from kitchen towels. To prepare the composition, you need to bring 5 liters of water to a boil and add half a glass of natural powder. The liquid is stirred and oil is added. Afterwards, dirty towels are immersed in the composition for 12 hours. After time has passed, they are first rinsed in hot water, then in warm water.
Sodium borate
Sodium borate or borax has antibacterial and antifungal properties. For this reason, it is used for washing children's clothes. It removes old stains and softens fabrics. You can buy it at any hardware store.
To prepare the whitening composition, you will need:
- 150 g laundry soap;
- 500 g baking soda;
- 200 g borax;
- a couple drops of tea tree essential oil.
Important! Borax cannot be used on colored items; they may fade.
First, grate laundry soap on a coarse grater, pour in a small amount of boiling water, stir and add the remaining ingredients. Use instead of regular powder.
Hydrogen peroxide
To bleach yellowed or grayed lace underwear, use hydrogen peroxide. It is suitable for natural and synthetic fabrics. To obtain a bleaching agent, add 150 ml of hydrogen peroxide to a liter of water and stir thoroughly. First, the clothes are washed, then put in the solution for half an hour, and rinsed.
To remove old stains, you need to bring 2 liters of water to 70° and add 30 g of soda and 15 ml of hydrogen peroxide to it. Things are placed in the resulting mixture for 15 minutes, then rinsed thoroughly.
These recipes will help remove stains from clothes quickly and gently. They do not damage the fabric or cause irritation to the skin.
All of the above methods DO NOT WORK!
