7 ways to use your old TV

New life to old things. One of the rules of environmental activists, but it can also be useful for those who do not share their views. Sometimes you can make something surprisingly stylish and original from used items, if only you have imagination and the necessary skills in working with tools. A good example of this is how you can use an old TV and what you can make from it. This is especially true for old TVs with a beautiful, unusual-looking body, which it would be a pity to sacrifice, even if the TV itself no longer works.

Bookshelf

A wooden “frame” from a TV will look good as a bookshelf. Clean it, paint it, if the size of the TV allows, install an additional horizontal shelf inside. You can add loops at the back so that the shelf can be hung on the wall. And you will get a nice and somewhat ironic bookshelf.

Corner for dogs or cats

A place for pets is another original and fun option. It is extremely important that there are no sharp corners or edges inside so that the animal does not get hurt. If necessary, grind them down or cover them with soft material. Place a soft bed inside and you're done. And if the former TV is also decorated on the outside, the result can surpass any pet corner you can buy in the store.

Aquarium

Close to the previous idea, but requires a different embodiment: a house for aquarium fish. Here, again, an old wooden TV will do.The finished aquarium is inserted into the housing from which the insides have been removed (for compressor air, leave the buttons on the panel). Don't forget to leave room for lighting and reinforce the bottom of the case if necessary.

Bar

A beautiful and stylish case will make an equally beautiful and stylish minibar. To do this, the body without filling is sheathed on the inside with chipboard panels and LED lighting is installed.

Flowerbed or flower box

An original, eye-catching flower box can be made from any case. Paint it, if its dimensions allow, turn the screen up (the screen itself, of course, must be removed) and fill it with soil and plants.

Coffee table

And this option will certainly appeal to people who do not want or cannot disassemble the device and remove the filling from it. But there is one fundamental point: a flat screen. It will play the role of the tabletop; a curved screen will not work as a tabletop.

Dollhouse or storage for miniatures

And, probably, the strangest, but at the same time obvious option: to make a house for dolls out of an old building! The inside of the building is covered with the same chipboard panels and turns into a cozy little room, furnished at your discretion. The child himself can and should be involved in the arrangement. Well, other “adult children” create beautiful display cases for miniatures from old TV cases.
