No matter how beautiful and comfortable the apartment may be at first glance, living in it may not be so easy if you come across unnecessary things here and there. Things that bring neither benefit nor joy, but only clutter up space. Moreover, an abundance of unnecessary little things can be even worse than an abundance of large items.

Let's look at what you can get rid of first.
- Items that are no longer usable. You may think that anything can be used. But, for example, the remains of tiles and wallpaper left after renovation (especially those already torn, chipped) - what is this? Obvious garbage. Broken smartphones and electronics that cannot be repaired go there. Or board games that lack details: you can’t really play them.
- A point that partially overlaps with the previous one: things that are kept “just in case.” What kind of “just in case” this is, many of us are unlikely to be able to explain at all. If you have a pan that you don't use or the last time you used it is unknown when, get rid of it with a clear conscience. The same applies to clothes and shoes left “just in case” (especially if they are too small for you), old towels, toys, etc.
- Things of unknown purpose. Any incomprehensible wires, lug screws, remote controls, unlabeled bags of medicines, etc., which came from nowhere and are needed for unknown reasons. Get rid of such things without regret.
- Any products that have expired. And these are not only food products, but also cosmetics, medicines, etc. The use of such products can, for obvious reasons, even be dangerous; if you are not going to use them, are they necessary?
- Waste paper. Magazines, brochures, old catalogs, notebooks, newspapers, television programs, notes, receipts - you can’t list it all. Just remember that it is advisable to keep old receipts for payment for services for at least 3 years. Throw away the rest.
However, you should not go to the other extreme and “clear” the space with fanaticism, leaving no room at all for any things and objects that you do not use every day. There is a simple rule: the item has not been useful for 1 year, get rid of it without regret. And try to store things that have some sentimental value (photo albums, diaries, souvenirs, old children's drawings and school notebooks) as compactly as possible so that they take up less space and do not disturb anyone.
Where can you send your used items, if not to the trash? Firstly, for recycling. Find out where the nearest waste paper collection point is - they will also pay for old papers there. Secondly, for charity. Clothes, if they can still be worn, can be given to the church - some of them accept old clothes. Old toys go to an orphanage. And so on.
And finally: if you don’t want to get rid of unnecessary things, don’t own them. Before you bring something into your home, think carefully about what you need it for and whether it’s worth it.
Old toys are not accepted in orphanages.
Old things and toys will not be taken into the orphanage!
