Lifehack: grapefruit for cleaning the bathroom

The dream of every good housewife is a clean and shiny bathroom. To achieve the desired result, it is not necessary to buy expensive and not always safe cleaning products; you can easily do without them. Grapefruit will help clean the bathtub from limescale, soap stains and rust.

Why is it better to take grapefruit?

It contains fruit acids and essential oils that will not only help rid your bathroom of annoying dirt and stains, but also give it a dazzling shine. In addition, citrus fruit can freshen the air in a room better than a freshener.

How to clean

Everything is simple here. Cut the grapefruit into two halves and rub the cut side, pressing well, on all contaminated areas of the bath until completely clean. Next, all that remains is to thoroughly wash off the crushed pulp and the released juice mixed with dirt using a shower.

What can be used additionally

When cleaning plumbing fixtures, you can also use additional available products. This can be table or sea salt, sugar, and baking soda.

When cleaning plumbing using salt, it is very important to follow a certain sequence. First, divide the grapefruit into two parts, take half a glass of salt, and sprinkle the cut with it. Next, rub it well over the entire contaminated surface of the bath. When there are no dirty spots left, you just need to wash off all the salt, pulp and juice.

If the bathtub is very dirty and you can't scrub it to a shine the first time, you need to take a second grapefruit and repeat the procedure again.

You can also use sugar instead of salt. To do this, pour two tablespoons of sugar on each half of the cut grapefruit and then use it for cleaning. It is important to know that when using sugar, you must thoroughly rinse all areas to be treated. If the surface of the bathtub is poorly washed, it will become sticky - dirt will stick to it even more.

Grapefruit sprinkled with soda will also help to clean off limescale or rust. This has an advantage over the previous method - soda does not leave a sticky layer, and it is also easier to wash off.

The cleaning method is simple. Sprinkle one tablespoon of soda on each grapefruit halves. Rub the bathtub with them until there are no stains left on it. Then wash off the remains of the fruit and soda with a shower. If the contaminated surface is too large, you will need more citrus.

If the bathtub has not been washed for a long time or it is too dirty, it is worth using the proposed product 1 or 2 more times. But, most likely, the desired effect will be noticeable immediately after the first use.
