To clean your monitor from dust, it is important to choose a material that not only removes dust well, but also does not damage the surface. The best option is a microfiber cloth. Due to its structure, it effectively attracts dust, dirt and microorganisms. There is a special microfiber for screens or optics, but a universal one for the kitchen will not work.
Wet wipes for screens are good for wiping away dust and dirt. They do not leave streaks and do not scratch the surface. Since they dry quickly, it is advisable to take a small package or have each napkin wrapped separately.
A reliable method of care is special kits consisting of a wet and dry wipe or spray and a cloth. They are often impregnated with an antistatic agent and form a protective film on the surface.
How to wipe properly
According to safety regulations, you must first disconnect the TV from the network. On a dark screen it will be clearly visible where to wipe and whether there are any streaks left after cleaning.Then use a soft cloth, lint-free cloth or microfiber to wipe the TV using vertical or horizontal movements. It is important not to press too hard to avoid damaging the matrix. Microfiber can be used without additional cleaning agents.
If a spray is used, it should not be sprayed onto the monitor to prevent liquid from getting inside. It is important to read the instructions and try on a small area before use. If there is no reaction, apply the product to a cloth and then wipe the entire surface. After this, wipe with a dry cloth, and if dirt remains, repeat again.
Special wet wipes are used like this: they first wipe off the dust, let it dry, and then wipe it again so that there are no streaks left. You should also use a set of wet and dry wipes in the same way.
After cleaning, allow the surface to dry completely and only then turn on the TV. It is easier to remove dirt from joints and corners if you use cotton swabs.
What not to use
It is important to remember that you cannot wipe with a wet napkin or cloth, it must be damp or dry. In addition, damage to the device can be caused if you use:
- ordinary wet wipes for personal hygiene;
- alcohol-based compounds, they can damage the anti-reflective layer on the screen;
- window cleaners, dishes, cleaning powders, soda, acetone;
- plain or toilet paper, towels, cotton pads, old things - their lint can scratch the screen;
- a dirty napkin or cloth - they need to be either changed or washed every time;
- dishwashing sponges, melamine sponges.
Older CRT TVs have a glass screen without anti-glare coating, so they can also be cleaned with window cleaner.
It is advisable to wipe the TV screen every month, but not too often. By properly cleaning your TV monitor from dust, you can extend its life, and the image will always be bright and rich.
