Handmade has been in fashion for a long time. And this is especially true for accessories or home decor made from old and unnecessary things. Craftswomen manage to make an original ikebana out of an old broom, and they make all sorts of things out of dishes: flower pots, napkin holders, clothes hangers and other little things. But, of course, the most original invention is chandeliers and lamps made from table junk.
From forks and spoons
Silverware or aluminum dowry from the distant USSR can easily become part of some loft interior. It is enough to make a hole in the cutlery and attach it to the old chandelier structure using decorative metal rings. Such a lamp will look brutal and stylish in a minimalist design or in the premises of a men's bar.
From the tea set
Everyone has grandma's cups, which no one has used for a long time. To make them into a lamp part, you need to make a hole in the bottom of the cup. To do this you will need a drill, a thin drill and the patience of a craftsman, since everything needs to be done carefully and at low speeds. Next, new “shades” are attached to the finished chandelier, and a wire with a base and a light bulb is brought out into them.
From a colander
The principle of making a chandelier from an ordinary colander is the same as with cups; in this case, you can use either one large “shade” or several small ones.The holes in the colander diffuse the light beautifully, creating a unique romantic atmosphere.
From bottles
Another original option is a chandelier made of bottles. There are two options: you can "bother" and cut off the bottom of the bottles, then you will get bright colored lighting, which is well suited for a bedroom or kitchen. Or leave the bottles in their original form, and then the light will be dim and intimate. For a romantic cafe or a gazebo in the country - an ideal solution.
From glasses
If you have collected a large number of glasses in the house, then you can make a multi-level "crystal" chandelier. For this you will need at least 20-25 glasses and a special metal frame. It should be taken into account that such a lamp will be quite heavy, so the base will need to be strong. It can be welded from metal rods yourself or find a suitable design at "flea markets".
The second life of old dishes can be very light and bright. You just have to use your imagination, and then you can make a stylish lamp from a meat grinder that will perfectly fit into a modern interior.
